Job satisfaction is the positive feeling employees have towards their work and may
have many underlying factors which may further impact their commitment towards
their organization. The presented research study was carried out to examine the effect
of self-efficacy and resilience on organizational commitment and job satisfaction of
software engineers working in private IT organizations in Calicut, India. The study focused
on three specific dimensions of organizational commitment: Affective, Continuance,
and Normative Organizational Commitment. The sample consisted of 101 male and
female software engineers with a minimum of one year of experience, and data collection
was carried out using online platforms. The sample selection process involved the
convenient, purposive, and snowball sampling methods. The multiple regression analysis
was used to assess the effect of self-efficacy and resilience on affective commitment,
continuance commitment, normative commitment, and job satisfaction. The findings of
the study revealed that self-efficacy and resilience had a significant impact on affective
commitment, continuance commitment, and job satisfaction (p < 0.05), while no
significant effect was observed on normative commitment
