The aim of this study is to find the effect of Academic pressure and Depression among
adolescents who are taking coaching in Kota city of Rajasthan. For this purpose,
sample of 370 coaching students studying in different coaching institutes in Kota were
studied. Students were administered with Positive and Negative Suicide Ideation scale
(PANSI), Beck Depression Inventory II and Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents
(ESSA). This study measures the effect of Academic Pressure and Depression on
Suicide Ideation with the help of statistical analysis. The results suggest that, Depression
and Academic Pressure is positively correlated with the Suicide Ideation. There is an
overall significant relationship between Depression, Academic Pressure and Suicide
Ideation. Apart from this the limitations and practical implications of the study is also
discussed. From the regression analysis it is found that Depression being the most
