Decision making on career choice is a developmental tasks during adolescence because
it determines their future educational and occupational life. The sample size for the
study was 100(50-Private,50- Government) students. Career Decision making scale
(2014) by Dr. Kirandeep Singh was taken to study the variable. Random data collection
was used, students were covered from four CBSE schools (Government-2, Private-2)
institute studying in grade-XI.To analysis the data non-parametric statistics like simple
percentages, means, SD and inferential analysis through t-test have been utilized. The
results show that maximum female students belonging to both types of schools come
under decided category in case of career decidedness (CD) and career indecision (CI)
dimensions showing higher level of clarity in career selections. However, government
school students exhibited somewhat higher score than private schools in both
dimensions but there was no significance in it.T-test result has not showed any significant
difference among the two groups when it came to career decision-making. The result
can be summarized as school type is not affect the career decision-making status of
the female students.Thus highlighting the impact on career direction and assistance
provision in all schools for supporting students in making student friendly career choices
