This research was conducted to examine the influence of the mid-day meal arrangement
on the attendance rate of students in schools. The study also examined whether there
was any change in students’ attendance before and after receiving the mid-day meal
and the correlations between these factors. In order to achieve this objective, the
researcher selected ten schools to gather data. According to the records, 250 students
were planned to be included in the study; however, certain students were absent on the
specified days. This research employed a correlation design to examine the association
between mid-day meals and attendance and enrolment. The results were analysed
using t-tests and Pearson’s Product moment correlation. The results indicate that
most children have a favourable preference for the food provided to them at school. A
diverse range of food products are offered as part of the mid-day meal arrangement.
According to the data, there were no significant differences in the attendance rate
before and after the mid-day meal in 2020 and 2022. However, there was a strong
positive correlation between school attendance rates before and after the mid-day meal
in 2020 {r (8) = .955**, p = .001}. Additionally, there was a negative correlation between
the attendance rate in schools before and after the mid-day meal in 2020 and 2022 {r
(8) = -.461, -.425}. According to the 2022 findings, a strong positive relationship was
discovered between school attendance rates before and after the mid-day meal in
2022{r (8) = .588**, p = .001}. The results indicate that there were variations in attendance
rates throughout 2022. Additionally, a positive correlation was observed in 2020.
Therefore, the study concludes that there is an improvement in the percentage of
students enrolling in school after eating, and they believe this will improve their educational
abilities to realize their dreams

The present study was carried out to identify whether perceived parenting has a significant
relationship with the development of maladaptive schemas and whether perceived
parenting predicts the development of maladaptive schemas among adolescents. The
sample of the study consisted of 300 adolescents (male = 140 and female = 160) from
the state of Goa. The measures used for the purpose of the study were the Young
Parenting Inventory (YPI – R2) (2018) by Louis, J. P., Wood, A., & Lockwood, G. and the
Young Schema Questionnaire (1998) by Young & Brown. The statistical analyses applied
were Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation and Regression Analysis. The results of
the study indicated that there exists a significant positive correlation between perceived
parenting and the development of maladaptive schemas. The study also suggested that
perceived parenting significantly and positively predicted the development of maladaptive
schemas. Further, the implication of the study is discussed..
