The present study aims to examine correlates and predictors of rejection sensitivity
in adolescents. Also, study the gender, residence area and school type differences
in rejection sensitivity. 210 adolescents completed self-report measures of rejection
sensitivity and parental attachment. It was found that rejection sensitivity correlates
negatively with parental attachment dimensions. Gender, residence area and attachment
to mother and father were significant predictors of rejection sensitivity in adolescents.
Rejection sensitivity found to be more in boys as compared to girls, also more in urban
