The current research study aims to examine the Loneliness and its association to
social networking addiction among single child adolescents in the state of Maharashtra.
A survey questionnaire was used to collect the data from the adolescents attaining the
age of 16-18 years of age through purposive sampling technique. The sample size for
the current study was (n=110) out of which the population was equally distinguished
between male (n=55) and female (n=55). The results thus calculated using correlation
study and independent samples T test showed that there is statistically significant and
positive correlation between the loneliness and social networking addiction. Whereas,
there is no significant difference among single child adolescent male and female, for
the association of loneliness with social networking addiction among adolescent male
and female population
