The present study examined life satisfaction as a predicting factor of teaching
effectiveness among secondary school male teachers in Lower Subansiri and West
Siang districts of Arunachal Pradesh. A descriptive survey method was used, and data
were collected from 120 government secondary school teachers (60 from each district)
through standardized scales on life satisfaction and teaching effectiveness. The results
revealed that teachers in Subansiri reported significantly higher life satisfaction than
those in West Siang. However, no significant difference was found in teaching
effectiveness between the two districts, as teachers in both areas demonstrated high
levels of effectiveness. The study further found that life satisfaction had a moderate and
significant positive relationship with teaching effectiveness in West Siang, while the
relationship was positive but not significant in Subansiri. The findings suggest that
teachers’ overall well-being may influence their professional performance depending on
contextual factors. The study highlights the importance of supporting teachers’ life
satisfaction to enhance educational quality and outcomes in secondary schools
