A transgender person is defined as an individual whose gender identity does not match
the gender assigned at birth. Transgender individuals shape society significantly by
challenging and expanding traditional perceptions of gender identity and roles,
driving legal and policy reforms, and enriching cultural diversity. The objective of the
study is to explore a systematic inquiry regarding the family and peer role on transgender
well-being. This study will focus on the research that has emerged since the 2011
publication. Based on the well-being and mental health issues of transgender people,
the rigid database from different sources has been sorted out. Most relevant research
that was published from January 2011 to November 2025 was selected for these reviews.
The combined search produced 60 articles of potential relevance. The resulting and
most relatable 20 articles were selected after a detailed analysis. Based on these
studies, it has been found that transgender people have been facing many social
problems in communities, such as unemployment, lack of education facilities,
homelessness, lack of medical facilities, etc. There is a lack of understanding that all
people are different, but after all, everyone is a human being who is contributing their
part of duties in culture and society. The review highlighted important challenges and
their impact on transgender mental health and well-being. The review findings are
discussed, focusing on mental health, relation with family and peer relation and its
impact, in the well-being of transgender people
