Study habits play a crucial role as a predictor of academic achievements of students
and taking into account that due to individual differences study habits vary from person
to person and from place to place, and thereby the present study was designed and
implemented to investigate the significant difference between boys and girls of class IX
students of Barpeta district with respect to their study habits. For data collection of the
present study, the tool used is Palsane and Sharma Study Habit Inventory (PSSHI),
1989 which consists of 45 items. The study revealed that there is no significant difference
between Boys and Girls Class IX students of Barpeta District with respect to their
Study habits.
