The study aims to examine the role of Eye Yoga as a comprehensive strategy to
improve visual acuity and to find out how it affects the mental health of those with
refractive defects. The study included 94 patients suffering from Refractive Errors and
was distributed evenly into groups: Group A (Control) and Group B (Experimental).
Psychological levels were measured using the Psychological Wellbeing (PWB) Scale,
whereas visual acuity was measured using a visual acuity chart. The post-test results
showed no discernible difference in the psychological level (P>0.05) and visual acuity
scores (P>0.05) of the individuals in Group A. When compared to their pre-test levels,
participants in Group B, who received a yoga intervention, demonstrated a notable and
significant improvement in both visual acuity (P<0.05) and psychological levels (P<0.05).
The implications of integrating Eye Yoga into refractive error management strategies
go beyond improving vision; they may also promote more comprehensive well-being for
people with visual challenges by encouraging a holistic approach to eye health that
favorably influences psychological aspects
