Most research work done in brain gym focuses on how specific movements of the body
can improve the functioning of mind by integration of the left and right hemispheres of
the brain through specific movements. Sensory integration is one of the most important
types of sensory processing, which requires left and right hemispheric coordination. It
is a challenge especially in the case of differently-abled children. The present research
paper has tried to use brain gym exercises on hearing impaired children. The results
of the brain gym PACE exercises have been ascertained using the Stroop test. The
subjects were hearing impaired students (N=20) between the age group of 15-16 years
who were given practice sessions on 10 different types of brain gym PACE exercises.
The results of the pre and post intervention were assessed using paired sample t-test
and significant improvements were found in the hearing impaired students.
