Effect of PERMA Model intervention on Psychological Well-Being of School Teachers

The profession of teaching is widely regarded as one of the most honorable and esteemed
careers around the world. The mental well-being of teachers holds significant importance,
as it not only affects their own lives but also the lives of their students. The current
research aimed to investigate the impact of the PERMA model on the psychological
well-being of teachers, who were divided into experimental and control groups. This
was an experimental study using a pre and posttest design. For this study, two groups
were established, each consisting of 15 males and 15 females. The subjects in the
experimental group underwent the PERMA model intervention for a duration of 2 weeks.
t-test was utilized to compare the experimental and control groups in order to determine
if the PERMA model intervention had any effects on the subjects. Results showed that
PERMA model intervention enhances the PWB of school teachers of experimental
groups.
