The present study compares gender-specific internalizing and externalizing problems
among adolescents. A total of 92 school adolescents from Udaipur city of Rajasthan
within the age range 12 to 18 were selected and were assessed on Youth Self-Report
TM (Broad-Syndrome Scale). A cross-sectional group design was adopted for this
study. The obtained data were statistically analyzed under descriptive and inferential
i.e. independent t-test analysis with the help of Statistical Package for Social Sciences.
The finding revealed gender-specific variation in internalizing and externalizing problems
among adolescents. Male and female adolescents were reported to be different in
internalizing problems (Anxiety, & Depression); NINE (Thought problems), externalizing
(Aggression problems) & Other Problems. Gender-specific variation exists for
internalizing and externalizing problems among adolescents
