This study aims to identify the impact of a twelve-week visualization training on
performance of male Table Tennis players. A total of 20 players were randomly assigned
to two groups of ten members each: experimental group and control group. Visualization
training was provided on a three-day basis for twelve weeks. Performance was assessed
through the results of the groups in the league matches conducted amongst them pre
and post the intervention training. To compare the experimental and control groups,
Quade’s ANCOVA was used, with pre-test performance serving as a covariate. The
study’s results showed significant difference between the Visualisation Group and the
Control Group. The findings of this study back up the use of visualisation as a
psychological training tool in competitive sports.
