Previous research has consistently shown little work on relationship between
Psychological Capital and its factors (Hope, Self-efficacy, Resilience & Optimism) and
Orientation to Happiness and its factors (Pleasure, Meaning, Engagement) for school
teachers in the Indian context. The study’s purpose was to assess the role of
Psychological Capital in school teachers’ Orientation to Happiness. Sample consists
of 400 school teachers from India. The data was collected using tools Psychological
Capital Questionnaire and Orientation to Happiness Questionnaire. Correlation and
multiple regression analyses supported the expected relationship between Psychological
Capital and Orientation to Happiness. This research suggests that administration of
educational institutions should focus on Psychological Capital of school teachers to
increase their happiness level. The results have been explored in terms of their practical
consequences.
