Occupational stress has become increasingly common in the teaching profession due
to increased economic pressure on individuals and occupational complexities. WellBeing is a state of contentment in life when we manage to find out our balance. This
study on relationship between occupational stress and well-being of college teachers
was carried out in Guwahati city, Assam with 50 teachers (male 20 and 30 female
teachers). The Workplace Stress Scale and Well-Being Scale (Tool-1) were used to
measure occupational stress and wellbeing respectively among the teachers. Statistical
tools like Mean, SD, ‘t’ test and correlation analysis were applied to assess the level of
occupational stress and level of well-being as well. The study reveals that there is no
significant difference between male and female teachers in respect of occupational
stress and well-being. It has also been found that there is negative correlation between
occupational stress and well-being
