The aim of the present study is to examine the effectiveness of dual n-back
training on working memory on college students. Methods: For the said purpose, two
groups of participants were chosen out of which one group was given Dual n-back
training and the other was control group. Their Working Memory Index was assessed
via Spatial Span and Letter Number Sequencing from Wechsler Memory Scale-Third
Edition. Results: Findings suggest that dual n-back working memory training benefited
the working memory in college students. Further investigations are necessary to clarify
if other forms of working memory training may be beneficial, and what factors impact
training-related benefits, should they occur, in this population.
